S.M.A.R.T. Thinking

This term we have been looking at war and our S.M.A.R.T’s are based on war so enjoy.

Saturday 17 May 2014

This term we have been thinking about ANZAC and how the soldiers were so brave to even go there. These are some reports our class did about A.N.Z.A.C Day in the holidays.

Fortunately, Unfortunately

We wrote some 'fortunately, unfortunately' poems about an event that happened during the holidays.

Fortunately/Unfortunately         By Anni
I was sick for a few days in the middle of the holidays.

Unfortunately it was at 12:25pm that I was sick first.
Fortunately it was only every half a hour.
Unfortunately it kept me up all the haunted night.
Fortunately it stopped at 8:00am because a monster scared me.
Unfortunately  I was not having  fun being sick.
Fortunately I got red lemonade.
Unfortunately I hate not playing with lego for a long day full of boringness.
Fortunately my parents would come in and get me whatever I wanted in the house.
Unfortunately my parents only came in every hour so I feared monsters would kill me.
Fortunately that gave me time to fall asleep and go to dream land.
Unfortunately my sisters kept making bathroom noises.
Fortunately my mum told them to be quiet with a loud voice that could have made my ears blow up.
Unfortunately one of my sister’s wouldn’t be quiet and kept being horrible.
Fortunately my sisters went to the movie.
Unfortunately  my dad went to the movies but not my mum, a noisy complainer.
Fortunately I got to sleep because aliens made me.
Unfortunately my sisters woke me up with tamborines.
Fortunately I got 2 hours sleep.
Unfortunately dinner was then and I got so hungry I couldn’t eat because a sticky machine would come and attack me if I did.
Fortunately I felt a bit better because I got to watch T.V and a anti-sickness machine made me feel better.

It was the holidays and mum took us to the beach ..
Fortunately it was a sunny day.
Unfortunately mum forgot her purse.
Fortunately she had her phone and called dad.
Unfortunately dad said he can drop the purse at 2 o'clock.
Fortunately mum saw her friend and asked: “can you buy my family food?”
Unfortunately Burger King was closed.
Fortunately we saw a ride we wanted to go on.
Unfortunately the ride was broken.
Fortunately we went for a swim.
Unfortunately we went home.
Fortunately dad bought me a basket ball.
Unfortunately we were tired.
Fortunately we had fun.
Unfortunately mum said we need to go to bed.
Fortunately dad said we can play in our room.
Unfortunately we started fighting.
Fortunately our mum and dad did not hear us.
Unfortunately someone started crying.
Fortunately mum arrived with drinks.
Unfortunately we had to go to bed.
WOW WHAT A FUNNY MIXED UP DAY!!!

Haiku's by Room 12

These are some of Room 12’s Haiku poems. We have been writing them this term. They originated from Japan and they were normally about Nature but we have written them about war and peace.
